Dylan and Kaitlyn’s love for adventure led them both to work at a “small” camping co-op in Santa Monica known as REI. Dylan was the operational mastermind on the first floor while Kaitlyn was the expert of all things footwear on the second floor. The two of them rarely interacted, but when Covid-19 hit, REI employees everywhere were desperate to go outside as soon as it was safe to do so. It was at this time that Dylan invited Kaitlyn to join him and his roommates on a camping trip to Sequoia National Park. It did not take long for the two of them to realize their affection for one another. Among the world’s largest trees, Dylan and Kaitlyn fell in love. Fast forward a few years to the couple on vacation in one of their favorite locations: Seattle, Washington. Dylan and Kaitlyn spent the week hiking mountains, exploring the city, and drinking LOTS of coffee and beer. The final days of the trip were spent exploring Olympic National Park. It was there that Dylan got down on one knee and asked Kaitlyn to be his wife. That afternoon on a hiking trail in the Hoh Rain Forest, Kaitlyn was overjoyed to say YES! Dylan and Kaitlyn have shared several adventures together and are so excited to share this one with the people who have been part of their amazing journey. This is a moderate 5.2 mile out-and-back hike with approximately 800ft of elevation gain. The trail offers beautiful scenic views of Suicide and Lily Rocks and crosses seasonal streams along the way. Please note: an Adventure Pass ($5/day or $30/year) is required for parking at this hike and can be purchased at the Shell Gas Station in town.

Located 1 mile northwest of Idyllwild on Highway 243, Idyllwild Nature Center has 5+ miles of hiking trails, picnic area, indoor and outdoor activities for kids, bathrooms, gardens, and a&nbsp;museum.&nbsp;

The Village Centre

As Idyllwild is an unincorporated town, it has no human mayor or other politicians. Idyllwild Animal Rescue Friends, a non-profit 501(c)(3), sponsored Idyllwild's first-ever mayoral election where a golden retriever named Max became Idyllwild's first mayor. Mayor Max, III serves the town of Idyllwild, along with Vice Mayor Meadow and Deputy Mayor Mitzi. Max is usually&nbsp;in town to visit with locals and&nbsp;visitors on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and Saturday/Sunday at 2:00 p.m. His usual visiting location is from his Mayor-Mobiles in front of Wooley's.

Wedding Day Shuttle

Shuttle Hours: 2:45 PM – 9:45 PMParking Address: 54201 Ridgeview Dr., Idyllwild-Pine Cove, CA 92549 Guests may park or walk to the shuttle stop. The shuttle will pick up guests approximately every 5 minutes throughout the evening. Please note: There is no parking for guests at the venue. The venue is about a 10-minute walk from the parking area. Depending on the weather and your comfort level, you are welcome to walk instead of taking the shuttle.
